Talent Pathway – Regional Final
Today I’ve been at Barston for the Talent pathway regional final. I’ve been in the u15s section and I’ve drawn 114. I’ve set up 2 waggler rods at 30m and a pole line at 11.5m. I’ve fired 12 balls on the waggler and thrown 6 balls and cupped 2 on the pole. We spent the first 1hr 30mins on the waggler and in this time I had 2 skimmers and a roach, fishing a maggot and double bloodworm. Then we had to spend the rest of the match on the pole. It started slow only getting the odd roach but I kept cupping in hoping for a strong last hour. I’ve had my first skimmer on the pole with 1hr left and then I’ve had a good period where I’ve caught 6 skimmers and a few roach. I’ve ended up with 7lb 6oz which was good enough to get a England trial😀 Also the team came 2nd so well done to everyone. A big thank you to all the coaches for giving loads of help and my dad for getting me there🎣
Well done Ryan, and congratulations on selection for the England trials on 28th April. Best of Luck
Well done for getting to the England trial stage! Yet another chance for Grandparents to use the bragging rights! We look forward to hearing even better news.
