Range Baits Pittlands Silvers League
Today I’ve fished the 2nd round of the silver fish league at pittlands. I drew peg 1 which was a golden peg!
I set up a line at 13m with micros, a line at 6m with hemp and caster and a line near a tree loose feeding maggot hoping to get a few chub later on in the match. It started of good catching a few skimmers at 13m and then coming in on my short line and picking up some quality roach. But after about an 1hr and half it all went quiet and there was only the odd small roach to be caught, I was still loose feeding my chub line with maggots hoping for something to happen there.
The next couple of hours were very hard and I only managed to put a few roach in the net. With 1hr and a half left I went onto my chub line and started to catch a few small chub and also a few carp. I stayed on this line for the last hour and managed around 8 chub around the 1lb – 2lb mark. I ended up with 17lb which was enough to win the match! I also had 37lb of carp which won the carp pool as well!
